What to Expect
Luther Memorial is a liturgical church meaning the pattern of our services never change: Gather, Word, Meal, and Sending. We follow the liturgical calendar and preach from the assigned Biblical texts for the day also known as the Revised Common Lectionary. Worship generally lasts around one hour.
We use the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal and are led in music by piano and organ.
In our Sanctuary you will find worship chairs that may be arranged in the round, facing one direction, or antiphonally. We change the formation of our worship chairs as the liturgical season changes.
Every Sunday we celebrate Holy Communion and all are invited to partake.
Some folks wear their “Sunday Best” while others find comfort in their jeans and comfy sweatshirts.
We love having little ones join us in worship! They are welcome to worship with their family or we have a “Prayground” in the back of the Sanctuary with books and other activities.
Come as you are, you are welcome here.
